Delivering mealsand smilesA meal service is provided to deliver nutritiouslywell-balanced meals to singlepersonhouseholds and households consistingonly of elderly people who areunable to go shopping or prepare meals.Currently, there are approximately 250users. On set days from Monday throughSaturday, 220 volunteers deliver (paid)lunches.Health exercises atlocal public bathhousesAt 2 pm, the lively voices of the elderlyperforming“anti-aging exercises”echofrom the changing room of a localpublic bathhouse. The exercises areheld on the days determined by eachbathhouse. Anyone over the age of 60who is healthy can participate freely.The exercises conducted are originalexercises taught by a professionalinstructor who comes to the bathhouse.With approximately 13,000people participating annually, manypeople are trying out the exercise tostay fit.Psychological support for those wishingto work activelyAt“i’ll,”Employment Support Centerfor the Disabilities, a variety of programsare provided to support theemployment of the disabilities atcompanies in order to help themattain social and economic independence.After meeting them, aplan tailored to each and everyperson is prepared. A range of servicesis offered, including classesfor the acquisition of business mannersand PC skills, working experienceat an actual workplace, andaccompanying users to companyinterviews.MyMusashino LifeSharing the joy of watching children grow“Twice a week, only while I’m off to work”or“Ihave to take care of my parents, so I wouldlike someone to watch over my child threedays a week.”The situation that each childraisingparent finds him/herself in is various.
