In partnershipwith five local universities, the City offers learning opportunities to residents.University of The Musashino Chiiki Jiyu is a new type of learningspace, which was established by the City in partnershipwith five universities: Asia University, Seikei University, TokyoWoman’s Christian University, Nippon Veterinary and Life ScienceUniversity, and Musashino University. There is noentrance exam. From a list of approximately 2,000 official universitycourses, residents are able to take courses with generalstudents in the subjects they are interested in. A feature of theuniversity is that as soon as residents“wish to study,”they areable to enroll in the university.10
